For Every Excuse there is a new Strategy
We all make excuses; it’s a flaw of being human. We use excuses to stop ourselves from dealing with the issue. Sometimes we mistake an excuse with a reason, while a reason enables us to hunt for a solution and excuse is notorious from prolonging pertinent issues. So, in my hunt for satisfaction, I’ve found that for every excuse, there is a new strategy to help counteract them.
Excuse 1: I don’t know where to start! then Strategy behind is: Set one big goal and two small goals each morning or night before. If you dont know from where to begin then make a plan or goal for it that I want something that has to be done in a same day. If you are feeling low at that time then do it later but ositively on same day. Set mini goals for each day.
Excuse 2: I’m tired and I could be doing housework, sociallising, or cooking in my comfort zone then strategy behind that Go to coffee shops or the library or any shop to relax sometimes, regain your strength.
Excuse 3: This research paper/reading/exam/etc is until next week or several weeks from now. Strategy: Self guilt-trip. Remember how terrible I feel about my work when I put it off till the last minute or when I spend all afternoon and evening wasting time watching television shows, or whatsapp without one productive minute. Maybe some people feel uncomfortable about the guilt trip or advocate more self-forgiveness here, but guilt is motivating and in this case, I deserve to feel bad for being lazy about not being productive. I’m lucky to be here.
